Hair Affair III
It's the 3rd annual HAIR AFFAIR during the month of May. The York Area Chamber of Commerce will be giving away $100.00 in Chamber Checks to a customer at one our Chamber Member Hair Care businesses. During May anytime you do any business with one of our partner businesses, put your name in the entry box and at the end of May we will choose a winner among all the entries.

Firecracker Frenzy STAR Banks out!!
One of Nebraska's most spectacular Independence Day celebrations is YORK'S FIRECRACKER FRENZY. Held at The York County Fairgrounds on JULY 3RD, the amazing firework show caps off an evening of celebration of our nation's independence. A show of this caliber is not cheap. We spend over $15,000.00 on the firework show alone. This show is paid for by private donations from area businesses, organizations and individuals--we do not get state, city or county funding for the show. That's why we need YOUR help.
Our STAR BANKS are now out in the community. When you see one, drop some change or a couple of bucks in it--they all go towards making the Firecracker Frenzy a big success. The STAR BANKS are located at the following locations:

Vendor registration for the 2012 Season of THE YORK FARMERS MARKET is now available. The season begins on Thursday June 7th and goes through Thursday September 6th (Yorkfest). Vendors who wish to sell fresh produce, homemade baked goods or handmade craft items must pre-register with the Chamber. There are limited number of seasonal spaces available along 6th street in front of the York County Courthouse. Other spaces are available on a weekly rental around the courthouse lawn. Electricity is available for an additional fee. All produce sold must be grown by the vendor; all baked goods sold must be baked by the vendor; all craft items sold must be made by the vendor.
Vendors will be assigned a 10' X 10' space. You must provide your own tables, chairs, umbrellas/canopy, signage etc...and everything must fit in the designated space. Vendors will be giving away entry forms with every purchase (provided by the Chamber). These forms can be filled out to win weekly door prizes. There are several dates reserved for special events within the Farmers Market including Opening Night on June 7th when York State Bank will host a Hot Dog Feed; July 26th when Cornerstone Insurance Group will host a Hot Dog Fee and September 6th when Yorkfest begins. These dates should bring plenty of crowds to the Farmers Market.
