Q: What is a typical Leadership York session like? A: We start the morning with light refreshments and then one of our Corporate Sponsors will visit with the group regarding their business. Each session has a theme and we will hear from experts in the field of work during the day. Many speakers will come to the group, but there are times when we want you to experience an on-site visit. There will be a lunch break—which is included in your tuition along with sponsorships from various businesses. There will be several break times built into the schedule for you to check messages— ALL CELL PHONES SHOULD BE ON VIBRATE OR TURNED OFF WHENEVER A SPEAKER IS VISITING WITH THE GROUP. If it is an illness that keeps you away from the session, you can miss 1 session and still be able to graduate. Work related absences are also acceptable. If you miss more than 1 of the 9 sessions, the planning committee will determine if you are eligible to graduate. Q: Is there a contact person if I should have questions about the program? A: Each member of Leadership York will be assigned to a Planning Committee Mentor to answer any questions, provide direction and guide the participant throughout the program. You will be introduced to your Mentor at the Orientation session held in early September. That person will be with you for the entire run of the year. Q: What is “Flavors of York County”?
