Ambassadors may nominate active Ambassador Club members for possible recognition as a Distinguished Ambassador for his or her dedication and overall contribution to the club over an extended period of time. Nominations will be submitted in November after the recommendation forms are sent to the Ambassadors in October. The nominations will include a short justification for the selection committee to consider. Nomination forms will be sent to the Chamber Executive Director who will consolidate the forms and discuss the nominees with the Ambassador chairman, vice-chairman to determine if there are any possible reasons that the nomination should not be considered. If so, the nominating Ambassador will be notified. Those nominations recommended for further consideration will be reviewed by the approving committee which consists of the Ambassador chairman, vice chairman, The Executive director and Chamber President, and all existing Distinguished Ambassadors. (Note: The general membership of the club would not vote for this award.) The club members would be notified of any Ambassadors selected to receive the award; and the recipients, if any, would be recognized at the annual Chamber banquet in January.
