June 7 will be the first Market of the season and it will run through September 6. We will once again invite vendors with homemade, handmade or homegrown items to contact our office or download the 2018 Vendor Registration

 

On AUGUST 2nd, the Farmer’s Market will be held at the York County Fairgrounds.

On SEPTEMBER 6th, the Farmer’s Market will be held downtown during Yorkfest.

Back to School Celebration/Community Pep Rally @ East Hill Park

The “Back to School Celebration” will run from 5:30 – 7:15 pm in East Hill Park with bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, an outside photo booth and more for kids to enjoy. Conner Mogul will be our DJ and fun music will be played throughout the evening! The Community Pep Rally will begin at 7:30 pm inside the football stadium.

Back to School Party then Teen Night @ Red's Flip Side Tavern

Elementary kids and parents are invited to play games, win prizes, and have home made ice cream! Get ready for school by winning cool pencils and other supplies. Starts at 11 am and can play until 3 pm.  Then welcome to Teen Night! Pre-Teens and Teens, along with parents, are invited to come in and enjoy our DJ while dancing and having snacks. Release some steam and have one last blast before school starts. We will have punch, home made ice cream, and other snack from 8 pm to 11 pm.
The upper floor will be reserved for teens. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the top floor.

You are cordially invited to the Yorkshire Playhouse’s first Volunteer Social. It’s an open house event for all past, current, and prospective volunteers. Come enjoy light refreshments, take a tour of the playhouse, and mingle with like-minded folks. Our casts and crews will always grow and bond, but we’d like ALL our volunteers to feel part of our theatrical family! Whether you’ve been involved with the Playhouse for years, or have never set foot in the lobby, this night is for You!

Join the York Area End of Life Partnership and Kilgore Memorial Library as we present our fourth annual book discussion. This year’s book is “When Breath Becomes Air” by Paul Kalanithi. Our panelists for the discussion include Dr. Heather Fago, Associate Medical Director for Tabitha Hospice, Karrie Otoupal, Director of the Oncology, Infusion Center for York General Hospital and Dr. Ryan Ramaekers, Oncologist & Hematologist for St. Francis Cancer Center in Grand Island. This event is free to the public. A light lunch will be provided, RSVP for lunch count to Deb Robertson at 402.363.2626.

The Cyber World can be a scary place and if we allow our youth to have free reign, tragedy isn’t just a big city thing. Join us for a chance to see the some different ways and tools you can use to protect your kids.

Let your dog have a chance to enjoy the Family Aquatic Center like you did all summer! This day will be reserved just for your four-legged friends. Your dog will be able to swim at the FAC before the pool is drained for the summer. Fee: $4/dog
