The Chamber is often the first place a newcomer or visitor will stop or call. The Chamber staff will only refer Chamber members to any inquiries. We allow Chamber businesses to have promotional materials in our office. We also send out dozens of relocation kits to businesses considering a move to the York area. Only Chamber businesses are part of the referral packets.
Only Chamber members can accept Chamber Checks at their business. The checks, issued through the Chamber office. can be used for goods and services at any Chamber business. During the Christmas season, the Chamber typically issues $150.000 in Chamber Checks ... and those dollars were spent at Chamber businesses. It's a very effective program to keep dollars in the community.
The Chamber organizes many successful events during the year that brings hundreds of new potential customers to town. Chamber members get first opportunity to have their names associated with the events through sponsorships. Sponsorships are noted with logos and listings depending on the level you want to commit to.
Topics ranging from employee recruitment and reccession planning to safe guarding your records and social media marketing. These workshops are designed for you to apply in your daily business practices. The only cost to members is the lunch. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these opportunities to strengthen their businesses.
The Chamber maintains an on-line Directory at www.yorkchamber.org where each member gets a free listing and if they have a web site, we link to that site.
The Chamber sends out the Chamber Chat email alerts with Chamber Members upcoming events. community projects. open houses and current information. Chamber Chat has over 1.000 recipients. Members can submit their events/news online and events will be posted on the calendar of events that is viewed online.
Want to send out a large mailing to your current or potential customers? We can help you keep that cost manageable. The Chamber offers it's bulk-rate mailing contract to Chamber members who need to send out large amounts of mail. This service can be a huge cost savings and is available to Chamber members ONLY.
Chamber businesses and organizations that are selling tickets to their special events are allowed to use our office as a ticket outlet. Having multiple ticket locations increases the exposure for your event and organization. Only restriction is that we do not maintain seating charts so your tickets would need to be general admission.
