April 30 thru May 4 is National Small Business Week. This is a celebration of small businesses of every kind. Ones that were started from the ground up to ones that are still thriving through a well executed succession plan. In late February, Bre, Rhonda and Kelsey coordinated 2 days of video sessions. There were over 25 businesses that gave a 15 second spiel about their company. This video will be rolled out during Small Business Week. Not only will this video be shared during this week, it will be used as a recruiting tool for our organizations when attracting residents and potential businesses to the area.

Monday thru Thursday (April 30 – May 3) there will be EntrepeTOURS taking place during the lunch hour each day. Five businesses will be welcoming anyone to come and visit with them about their road to where they are today. On Wednesday, May 2, Megan O’Hare with O’Hare Photography will be set up in the Chamber Board Room taking headshots from 10 AM – 2 PM. We are able to offer to members of Henderson and York Chambers as well as York County Development this opportunity for just $30. If you happen to not be a current member of our organizations, you may still have your photo taken for a fee of $50. If your professional headshot is out of date or you are looking to update the group photo of your office personnel, we invite you to take advantage of this opportunity.

As the week comes to a close we would like to end with a time of relaxation on Friday, May 4, with a Business After Hours at York Country Club from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. We invite York County Small Business owners, their staff, and anyone else that wants to thank our small business community to join us as we thank these courageous men in women in York County. Our thanks is for their commitment to serving the community and for the spirited way they continue to offer products and services in this everchanging market. More details on the day to day events during the week of April 30 – May 4 can be found at www.yorkchamber.org.
